Wanted to visit BlackGod aka Thomas to get HID installed for my Eagles as well as to troubleshoot the blown fuse. Called him and was advised to consult his friend Dave instead. Ultimately, Dave suggested going back to McWell to claim since the Eyes were like just 2 days old and it's not worth getting him to troubleshoot since he charges S$80 per Eye.
Decided to get fresh fuses and at least isolate the problem Eye; so visited Autobacs straight after work. Got a pack of 15A fuses after consulting the manual at Autobacs carpark. One pack contains just 2 fuses and cost S$2.45... Reached in-laws place, and to my horror, after a closer inspection, discovered that the correct fuse to the lights is actually 7.5A... Went back to Autobacs to get 3 packets of 7.5A fuses this time around as I expected a long night of trial and error after dinner. Price per pack is the same S$2.45...
After dinner, quickly sped home, got changed, shit, and brought my tools down. Proceeded once again to drop bumper (this is probably my 5th time dismantling the front bumper), disconnect both Eyes and changed the fuse. Tested my rear pole lights (since the front is not connected), everything working fine. Plugged in one Eye on the driver's side, was actually ready for another blown fuse when I try switching on the lights, but it held well. Just the the Eagle didn't light up. No problem though, probably a polarity problem.
Was pleasantly surprised that the driver's side Eagle Eye worked perfectly after a change of polarity. Gingerly, switched off everything and plugged in the passenger's side Eye. Lo and behold! Everything works! And I only used up 1 darn fuse....
